Before you start
When Jobs shows failure, skipped work or a partial result.
- Keep and use successful results.
- Retry only the failed work when Rankora offers a targeted retry.
- A cancelled or failed job does not automatically undo completed publications.
Steps to follow
- Open the job and check whether it was generation, publication or generation with automatic publication.
- Read its successful, failed and skipped counts and the visible error.
- Inspect ready drafts or History to identify useful completed work.
- Use Retry for the eligible failed subset when available.
- Contact support if the same items fail again, including the job ID and approximate time.
For example
A partial generation job can leave 80 usable drafts and 20 failed items. The 80 successful results should not be regenerated just to retry the other 20.
What happens next
The retry attempts its eligible targets. Check the final outcome before assuming the whole catalog was completed.
A useful tip. Note the job's publication mode before deciding where to look for its results.
Take care. Do not treat Failed as meaning nothing happened or that all credits must be returned.
Common questions
Are successful items charged in a failed job?
Usable successful generation can be charged. Items with no usable result are not charged for generation.
Does Cancel undo work?
No. Completed work may remain. Check History for published changes and use supported restores deliberately.
Why is Retry unavailable?
Not every state or historical operation supports a retry. Read the guidance and ask support before creating replacement work.
If you are still stuck
- Keep the exact job identifier rather than only a cropped status screenshot.
