Before you start
Before generation, especially when another administrator may have changed publishing settings.
- Draft mode keeps results unpublished until a separate publication action.
- Generate & publish can write successful results to Shopify without a later per-item review.
- Automatic integration in Collection SEO is a display method, not this publication setting.
Steps to follow
- Open Settings and review the available publication settings for Product Meta and Image ALT.
- Turn automatic publication off if you want to inspect drafts first, then save the setting.
- Return to the workspace and read the primary button. Confirm whether it says drafts or Generate & publish.
- Check the items and cost, then start only the action you intend.
- Inspect Jobs and History for the actual outcome. Do not assume a changed setting retroactively changes an already accepted job.
For example
Generate Product Meta drafts prepares text for later publication. Generate & publish missing meta tags attempts to generate and write it in the same operation.
What happens next
The accepted operation follows its publication mode. A scan or simply opening the workspace still does not publish anything.
A useful tip. Start with draft mode while tuning brand instructions. Use automatic publication only when you are comfortable with the scope and the output.
Take care. Do not rely on old help text claiming that Rankora never publishes automatically.
Common questions
Is automatic publication the default?
Check your store's current settings and button label rather than assuming a default. Different stores can have different saved choices.
Can I undo an automatic publication?
Use History for supported recorded changes. Review conflicts and the exact previous value before restoring.
Does turning it off cancel a running job?
Do not assume that. Check the job and use Cancel when available; already completed work may remain.
If you are still stuck
- If the label does not match the setting you saved, reopen the workspace before generating. Contact support if the mismatch persists.
