Before you start
When an item has a ready draft that you want to use.
- Draft ready is not the same as Published.
- Check both the content and the Shopify field that will receive it.
- Automatic publication can skip this manual review path when it is enabled for the operation.
Steps to follow
- Open the ready draft in Products, Image ALT or Collection SEO.
- Compare Current and Generated values. Check names, product facts and the intended language.
- Edit the suggestion if needed. Save the draft when that option is available.
- Choose Publish and read any confirmation, especially a collection content destination.
- Check the result. If you have many ready Product Meta or ALT drafts, use the separate Publish all drafts guide.
For example
Publishing collection content to a dedicated SEO field leaves the normal description unchanged. Publishing to the normal collection description replaces that field.
What happens next
Shopify receives the approved content if publication succeeds. A conflict or failed publication is not proof that the field was updated.
A useful tip. Check a small sample before a large publication. You do not need to open every draft individually when a bulk publication action is available.
Take care. Do not treat a completed generation job as proof that draft-mode content is live.
Common questions
Does publishing generate the text again?
Publishing an existing draft uses that draft. Choosing Generate again is a different operation and can consume credits.
Why has the item disappeared from Missing?
A successfully completed item can leave a missing-content filter. Switch to the full list before assuming it was deleted.
What does a conflict mean?
The Shopify value changed since the version you are using. Read the newer value before replacing it.
If you are still stuck
- For an unavailable draft, refresh and check its job status. For a conflict, compare the current Shopify value instead of forcing an overwrite.
