Before you start
When you published content with Rankora and prefer the earlier recorded value.
- Restore writes to Shopify. Read the target before confirming.
- A newer edit can cause a conflict.
- Restoring content does not undo the AI generation or refund its credits.
Steps to follow
- Open History and find the resource and publication you want to reverse.
- Read the recorded previous and new values.
- Choose Restore if it is available for this change.
- Check any conflict warning and confirm only the value you want to put back.
- Verify the field or storefront after the restore succeeds.
For example
You can return a product meta description to the value saved before a supported Rankora publication.
What happens next
The selected previous value is written back and the restore remains a recorded action.
A useful tip. Coordinate with teammates before restoring a field they may have edited.
Take care. Do not use Restore as if it reversed the entire store or an entire unrelated import.
Common questions
Can I undo changes made outside Rankora?
Only where Rankora has a supported recorded revision. It does not capture every external Shopify edit.
What if Restore is unavailable?
Check that this entry is a supported published change, not only a generation record. Ask support before manually replacing content you cannot verify.
Are my credits returned?
Not merely because you restore or discard content. Credits pay for successful usable generation.
If you are still stuck
- If Shopify has a newer value, inspect it before restoring over it.
